USA Shipping
Dear USA customers,
I have decided to stop sending prints and woodcuts to the US. This is due to the tariffs that came into effect at the end of August this year. It is possible to send packages, but there are many uncertainties involved. There is a surcharge of 15% of the purchase value, but there are also processing costs. There is a lot of uncertainty about this, and postal companies do not give exact quotas in advance because the percentage changes every day. These costs can be VERY high ($30 or even more).
PostNL, the postal company that sends my packages, pays all additional costs before forwarding them, and I'm then billed for these costs. So I'm never sure in advance how high these costs will be, and therefore cannot enter them correctly in my webshop. Of course, I could use a courier, who would then pass on these additional costs to you, the customer. This means you will receive an additional bill as soon as the package arrives, which may be so high that you decide not to accept it. Which I would totally understand.
This is very annoying for both you and me. To avoid a lot of hassle, I have decided not to ship to the US. For now.
But there is also good news!
I WILL continue to send cards and stickers to the US via letter post. So you can still order these!
In the meantime, I will continue to look for a solution so that hopefully next year I will be able to send prints and woodcuts to the US again. Thank you for your understanding!
Sofie
